American-International Thanksgiving Dinner

When: FRIDAY, November 21, 2008 – 6:45 PM to 9:00 PM

: First Baptist Church of Oviedo (Rt. 426 with Rt. 434)

International Student / Guest speaker – topic:

“Why I am Thankful to God!”

We would like to invite you to be part of a wonderful evening of Thanksgiving to God

while we minister to international students. We meet the week before the actual Thanksgiving Day (Friday Nov 21st) The Dinner will be held at the First Baptist Church in Oviedo at 6:45PM, Volunteers and Table Hosts are asked to come at 6:30PM. We need friendly Christian University Students to come and volunteer to work for the evening. We need American university students ready to cheerfully greet the international student in the parking area, guide them into the church, others will register the Int’l Student, give them a name tag and others will help them find a table. We will also need some help serving the food. Each one will be assigned to a table to help host. There will also be an American Couple at the table as hosts as well.

We are expecting 50 Christian adult hosts (Single or Married) and 25 Christian University students to host and serve. We are also expecting 100+ international students to come and enjoy the evening with us.

We have a program that includes music, a humorous skit, and a testimony from an international student that has become a Christian here in America she will speak on the topic: “Why I am Thankful to God”, of course she will include her testimony.

We Need Your Help

1) Please be in prayer that this evening will bring Glory to God and souls into the Kingdom.

2) If you can host please let me know (we are asking the American Host Couples to bring a vegetable dish and a pie )

3) Donations will be appreciated we are catering the Turkey, Mashed potatoes, and gravy and there are other costs.

a. Suggested donation $30 per Turkey. We will need 9 Turkeys for 200 people.
