One of the most amazing blessings over the last few months is to talk to some of the parents who have special needs children! They are sharing how their sons and daughter’s are really beginning to understand who Jesus is. When asked who Jesus is, one of our little girls stated, “God.” Bravo! This is a difficult concept for most of us to grasp, but when those who have intellectual disabilities begin to grasp who Jesus is, Ii get excited!

Our success has come through building relationship with our kids and their families. There is an amazing team of volunteers who support our special needs classroom; they have incredible skills and abilities to know what is best for our kids!

We have an ongoing need for teachers, but, right now my heart is burdened for a little boy who is strong… and has a disability called Autism. His smile lights a room! He lives in a single parent family–and really could use a one on one volunteer to work with him! I am sure that once he encounters the living o the God it will be incredibly powerful!
